Beatles Album Sells for a Record Price
Ringo Starr’s personal copy of the ‘White Album’ sells for a record price.
FOX News’ Carmen Roberts has the story:
A revolutionary price for Ringo Starr’s personal copy of the ‘White Album’ selling for $790,000, it set a world record for vinyls at auction.
Starr opened his vaults to pull out the 1968 mono album that he’s kept in storage for 35 years… Pre-auction estimates ranged from $40,000 to $60,000…
But the album’s rarity pushed Saturday’s bidding into the stratosphere. You see, all of the White Albums were numbered as they came off the presses and Ringo’s was the rarest of all… No. 1.
