Thanksgiving Night Shopping Takes Steam Out of Black Friday Turnout

Thanksgiving night shopping may have taken a bite out of the Black Friday turnout…

FOX News’ Rachel Sutherland reports from a mall in Virginia:

It’s busy at Pentagon City mall outside the nation’s capital, but there’s none of the infamous Black Friday pandemonium of years past, here. Some store workers I talked to said it was busier last night, after dinner time until the mall closed at midnight.

Some shoppers seem disappointed with the brick and mortar deals this year…

(Shopper) “I would say the stuff you don’t find on sale today we’ll probably get it on Cyber Monday if there is anything, mostly electronics.”

As far as security is concerned, people don’t seem worried. There are security and police officers patrolling the mall.
