United States Targeting ISIS Oil Reserves
U.S. pilots are accelerating attacks on ISIS oil reserves.
Fox News’ Jared Halpern has more from Washington:
A U.S. military spokesman says nearly 300 ISIS oil tankers in Eastern Syria were hit over the weekend, part of an effort to cripple ISIS oil revenues.
It’s believed oil accounts for half of the terror group’s income. The U.S. began targeting oil tanker trucks earlier this month, bombing 116 of them on November 15. Attacks have also targeted oil facilities.
Ahead of the airstrikes, an army spokesman says U.S. planes chased away drivers by dropping warning leaflets and making strafing runs before bombing the trucks.
