Will Congress Block the President From Accepting Syrian Refugees?

Should Congress block the President from accepting Syrian refugees…it’s a debate on-going in Congress.

FOX News’ Jared Halpern has more from Washington:

Former National Counterterrorism Center Director Matthew Olsen says the U.S. vetting process of refugees in Syria is the most rigorous in the world…

(Olsen) “In terms of looking at the background information, the intelligence, the biographic information, it includes interviews.”

But retired Army General Jack Keane says he’s fine with a pause to the program to ensure vetting works, but adds to a House committee…

(Keane) “When we talk about, let’s only take Christians, I mean that’s a horrific statement. That is playing right into, this is what ISIS wants.”

Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz has proposed blocking Muslim refugees from Syria from the U.S.
