Video games and mobile apps, more traditional toys staging a comeback this holiday season, according to NPD Group, which tracks the toy market.

Some of that thanks to Hollywood blockbusters… 

(Friedman) “Star Wars is widely to be predicted at the top of everyone’s list.”

Nancy Friedman, co-founder of KidzVuz.com, a video sharing review site for kids, says some of those toys are actually going to nostalgic parents.

Toys also getting a bump in interest from technology being incorporated into them…

(Friedman) “Can talk back to your child, can link up to the cloud.”

Still though the number one gift of kids surveyed by KidzVuz.com… A puppy.
