Chris Rock Will Host the 88th Academy Awards
Comedian and actor Chris Rock will be taking the stage on Hollywood’s biggest night.

(Rock) “Alright welcome to the 77th and last Academy Awards.”
It’s official… Chris Rock will host of the 88th Academy Awards. Rock hosted the Oscar ceremony back in 2005, this time he will have David Hill and his ‘Everybody Hates Chris’ collaborator Reginald Hudlin behind him as producers of the show.
Rock, whose career now spans more than three decades, most recently directed the comedy special ‘Amy Schumer: Live at the Apollo,’ which premiered this month on HBO and he also wrote, directed and starred in the critically acclaimed feature ‘Top Five.’
The Oscars will be broadcast live Sunday, February 28, on ABC.
