An Alien Sighting? NASA’s Kepler Discovers Swarm of ‘Megastructures’

Meet the most mysterious star in our galaxy…

Kepler is a planet-hunting space telescope and it has found something very different out there in the void. It is a star behaving in a way no one has ever seen before.

The light pattern suggests there’s a big mess of matter orbiting that star… Some natural phenomenon might explain it, but there is another explanation… That clutter orbiting the star could be an alien artifact, a “swarm of megastructures.”

The plan now is to point a massive radio dish at the weird star for evidence of technological activity. If all goes well, the first observation would take place in January.
