According to the execu search group, if you want to increase your chances of landing that dream job, there are things you can do after to increase your chances.
It’s all about the follow up! Whether entry level or executive jobs, always send a thank you note. You appreciate their time, but you can also revisit a topic of conversation during that interview. A phone call as well.
Connect to your interviewer on LinkedIn. Personalize the invitation to show professionalism and make sure your profile is ready and up to date.
Develop a game plan including whether or not to continue to apply for other jobs. You never want to assume you got that job, only to get rejected. Also, think ahead of how you’ll respond to an offer.
Whether its an offer or not, respond calmly to the company’s decision. An employer may have found someone better this time around, but the way you handle rejection can only serve you in the future.
