Selfies More Deadly Than Shark Attacks

The most effective killing machine on the planet…. could be in your pocket!

FOX News Radio’s Monica Rix explains:

The great white shark used to be the deadliest thing out there, but now, just a year after Oxford added it to its dictionary, it looks like the ‘selfie’ is swimming past it.

Experts say there have been dozens of deaths related to tourists taking selfies… compared with just eight confirmed shark-related deaths so far this year.

From a 21-year-old Spanish man electrocuted while climbing on top of a train to take a selfie with friends… to a Japanese tourist who died earlier this month after falling down a staircase at the Taj Mahal.

Selfie photos taken too close to mama bears have become a danger and a 27-year-old Hawaiian man was rushed to the hospital just this week. We’re told he tried taking selfie video when a tiger shark attacked.
