Trump, Bush Continue To Spar
A one-on-one between Donald Trump and the head of an influential Hispanic group comes as the Republican front-runner continues to spar with Jeb Bush.
Fox News Radio’s Jared Halpern has more from Washington:
From America’s Election Headquarters.
For about 90 minutes in his office, Donald Trump met with the President of the U.S. Hispanic Chamber of Commerce .Javier Palomarez describing the private Donald as different than the public Donald.
(Palomarez) ”In fact this Donald Trump was very gracious, very elegant, very hospitable. He listened a lot more than he spoke.”
But Palomarez says there is still strong disagreement with Trump… and this meeting was not an endorsement.
(Bush) “And I have a plan to be able to secure the border. That’s what we should be focusing on… not grandiose language not mis-characterizing people’s views.”
Jeb Bush has been aggressive lately in his attacks on Trump, posting old television clips on social media.
(Trump) “I lived in New York City and Manhattan all my life… okay? So, you know, my views are a little bit different than if i lived in Iowa.“
Trump responding on Instagram with snippets of Bush praising Hillary Clinton.
(Bush) “I want to say thank you to both Secretary Clinton and to President Clinton.”
