Pittsburgh Steelers Sign Michael Vick
One of the most controversial quarterbacks in the NFL has a new home.
FOX News Radio’s Chris Hoenig reports:
The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed quarterback Michael Vick to a 1 year contract to cover for injured backup QB Bruce Gradowski. Head coach Mike Tomlin says Vick has all the right attributes, even at age 35…
(Tomlin) “There’s not a throw on the field he can’t make, from an arm-strength standpoint.”
Vick’s 13 year career includes a two year break, serving 21 months in jail for his role in a dog fighting ring.
(Tomlin) “He’s done a lot since he’s gone through some of the things that he’s gone through, and I think that his track record to this point, in that regard, speaks for itself.”
The Steelers open the regular season on Thursday the 10th at the Patriots.
