Country music’s darlings Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert are calling it quits… And, Maddie &Tae take on the country with their first headlining tour.

After four years of marriage, country music’s most popular couple are getting a divorce. The two released a joint statement to the Associated Press, saying “This is not the future we envisioned. And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately.”
The couple came together just as their careers were taking off and they were recently named No. 3 in the list of Forbes Magazine’s highest paid celebrity couples. Shelton said he fell in love with Lambert when they were paired to sing together during a CMT special.
(Shelton) “We got up there on stage for rehearsal, and I don’t know, something just happened…”
Their statement ended with, “We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends and colleagues… we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter.”
Maddie & Tae announced their first headlining tour. The duo took off with their No. 1 hit “Girl in a Country Song”. Their “Start Here” tour kicks off in New York City, October 7th.
