Lance Armstrong Charity Ride Controversy
No stranger to controversy, disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong returns to the roads of the Tour de France.
FOX News Radio’s Simon Owen reports:
Surrounded by reporters, Lance Armstrong beginning a controversial charity cycle ride along the route of the Tour de France, the race he won seven times before losing all his titles for doping.
Armstrong is riding two stages, one day ahead of this year’s race.
(Armstrong) “People are always very decent, people are always very nice and I enjoy, I respect and I appreciate that and I enjoy being here.”
He says he still enjoys a warm welcome from many in France, but his charity ride is proving divisive.
The head of cycling’s governing body saying Armstrong is not welcome.
