A trade bill pushed by the President has failed in the House, after debate that blurred the lines on Capitol Hill.
FOX News Radio's Jon Decker reports from the White House:
If the President was hoping to change some minds about his trade bill with his visit to House Democrats this morning , he clearly failed in that effort.
(Pelosi) "I will be voting today to slow down the fast-track to get a better deal for the American people."
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was among scores of Democrats who defied the President and effectively killed so-called fast-track trade legislation by voting against the Trade Adjustment Assistance bill -- a program that retrains workers displaced by trade agreements.
Under House procedures, TAA had to pass the House for the President's trade bill to be considered.
