Carrie Underwood Tops 2015 CMT Awards Nominations

The CMT music awards promise a lineup of country superstar performances, as Carrie Underwood leads the nominations, she also kicks off the CMA Music Fest Week at The Grand Ole Opry. Also, Luke Bryan reveals his new album and the first single hitting the airwaves.

Carrie Underwood, who leads the fan driven CMT Music Awards with five nominations was announced as a performer along with Florida Georgia Line, Jason Aldean, Keith Urban, Kenny Chesney, Lady Antebellum and Luke BryanMost of the star-studded lineup are also nominated. Chesney has four nominations. FGL and Aldean three, and Keith and Luke both scored two nods… The show will be broadcast live June 10th at 8. Meanwhile, Underwood will be kicking off the CMA Music Festival events, with a performance at The Grand Ole Opry, June 9th.

Luke Bryan broke the news of his latest album on “The Ellen Degeneeres” Show Tuesday.”Kill the Lights” will be the reigning ACM and CMA Entertainer of the Year’s fifth studio album.  Luke also debuted the first single from the album, “Kick the Dust Up”, which is currently available for digital download. The country superstar said the album will be released August 7th.
