AC/DC Drummer Pleads Guilty On Death Threat, Drug Possession
A hard rock drummer could end up trading his sticks for prison bars.
FOX News Radio’s Steve Rappoport reports:
AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd pled guilty today in a New Zealand court to threatening to kill a man who used to work for him. The 60-year-old also pleading guilty to drug possession.
Rudd admits offering cash, vehicles and a house to an associate in exchange for taking out the target. He also told the man he was going to kill him, but no harm was ever done.
Outside court, defense attorney Craig Tuck told reporters:
(Tuck) “This matter was essentially just an angry phone call.”
Rudd faces up to seven years in prison on the threat charge when he’s sentenced in June.
AC/DC hired a replacement drummer for its upcoming tour.
