Which Country Singer Reportedly Lands Acting Gig In New Adam Sandler Movie?

A country music singer lands acting gig; Lee Brice duets with Garth Brooks in Boston, and Chicago gets its very own country music festival.

Blake Shelton is not a stranger to television with his “Voice” gig and his recent stint on “Saturday Night Live.” Now, Blake’s reportedly joined the cast of a new Adam Sandler movie, the “Ridiculous 6.” The Wrap reporting Blake will play Old West icon Wyatt Earp in the comedy. The movie will air on Netflix .

Garth Brooks welcomed Lee Brice to the stage during his Saturday night show in Boston to sing, “More Than a Memory,” the hit that Lee wrote with pals Kyle Jacobs and Billy Montana. Lee tweeted, “Bucket list…check…” 

Garth tweeted in return,”Lee, can’t thank you enough for making the late Saturday show so special!”

And, for the first time ever, the third-largest city in the U.S. will host a major festival devoted to country music. Chicago’s Windy City LakeShake, will be headlined by Dierks Bentley, Florida Georgia Line and Brad Paisley, and will run from June 19th to the 21st.
