Legal Woes Over “Back To The Future” Car
30 years later, the Back to the Future car is stuck in a legal battle.
FOX News Radio’s Michelle Pollino reports.
As “Back To The Future” celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, John DeLorean’s creation – the driving force of the film– is now stalled in a legal battle.
DeLorean’s widow, Sally, claims in a federal lawsuit that Texas-based DeLorean Motor Company — which is not affiliated with the original Delorean company — has been illegally using the name to sell merchandise hats, pens, notebooks, and other items, and has illegally licensed the name and images to other companies like Nike and Apple.
The two sides have a settlement conference scheduled for next month.
