The American Country Countdown Awards announced its first ever nominees– with Luke Bryan leading the pack. Cole Swindell is campaigning for a duet with Jason Aldean, and Garth Brooks now has friends in social media places.

FOX News Radio Entertainment Correspondent, Michelle Pollino has the scoop on the Country music stars making headlines this week:

Inaugural American Country Countdown Awards, releasing its list of nominees — Luke Bryan leading the pack with seven nods. The awards show hosted by Florida Georgia Line’s Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard is based on country music’s longest-running radio countdown show. Other nominees include Florida Georgia Line with six; Jason Aldean with four. The awards will air live from Nashville, Monday, December 15, at 8 on FOX.

Cole Swindell embarking on his first headlining tour this week to support his new Down Home Sessions EP, but looking ahead to next year when he joins Jason Aldean on tour. The “Chillin’ It” singer says he would love to join Aldean onstage for a song. Swindell’s album is due in stores November 17th.
