Enterovirus Cases Across U.S.
While Ebola is grabbing headlines, health officials say another virus isn’t getting enough attention.

Enterovirus D68 has infected nearly 700 people in 46 states and is being blamed for the paralysis and deaths of some children, including a Michigan toddler. Madeline Reid died Friday at a Detroit hospital. Dr. Matthew Davis with the Michigan Department of Community Health explains when parents should call the doctor.
(Dr. Davis) “Having some difficulty moving their arms or legs. Or if you’re worried that they’re having more difficulty breathing.”
A four-year-old in New Jersey died last week after being infected with Enterovirus D68.
