Justice Department To Investigate Ferguson Police Department
A second federal probe launched in Ferguson, Missouri, in the wake of a police shooting last month.
FOX News Radio’s Steve Taylor reports from Washington:
The Justice Department says in addition to the already-started investigation of the shooting death of teenager Michael Brown by a Ferguson police officer, there’ll be a second civil rights inquiry into how Ferguson law enforcement operates generally.
(Holder) ”Our investigation will assess the police department’s use of force, including deadly force; it’ll analyze stops, searches and arrests.”
Attorney General Eric Holder says the new investigation also will include the treatment of people in Ferguson’s jail.
