U.S. Reportedly Launches Strikes Against Al-Shabaab Leader In Somalia [VIDEO]
The U.S. has gone on the attack in Somalia, targeting terrorists.
FOX News Radio’s Rachel Sutherland reports from Washington.
U.S. forces took aim at the the leader of the al-Qaeda-linked al-Shabaab group yesterday , by launching a drone in southern Somalia, in response to an attack on an interrogation center.
We don’t know if the leader was killed, but defense officials say some of the attackers and two civilians died in the strike.
A Pentagon spokesman says officials are still assessing the results of the operation. Last September, al-Shabaab gunmen attacked a mall in Nairobi, Kenya, killing more than 60 people.
