AEHQ: Oklahoma Primary Runoff
More voters head to the ballot boxes today to set up part of the battle for control of the U.S. Senate.
FOX News Radio’s Jeff Monosso reports.
From America’s Election Headquarters.
Voters in Oklahoma head to the polls to choose a successor to retiring Republican Senator Tom Coburn. The GOP nominated Rep. James Lankford, but no Democratic candidate earned 50 percent of the vote; so, Democrats in Oklahoma head back to the polls for a runoff between State Senator Connie Johnson and Jim Rogers. State law requires a majority of voters to back the winning candidate, before he or she moves on to the general election.
GOP gubernatorial primaries also today in Vermont and Arizona. A Democratic gubernatorial primary in Florida and a handful of congressional primary contests in Florida, Oklahoma and Arizona.
