U.S. Reportedly Sent Young Latin Americans Undercover To Cuba
We’re learning about another United States covert operation in Cuba.
FOX News Radio’s Rachel Sutherland reports:
The U.S. Agency for International Development recently sent nearly a dozen Latin American young people to Cuba in an effort to recruit young Cubans into anti-government activism. The AP reports they operated under the cover of health programs, including an HIV prevention workshop. This, as the U.S. government faces questions about ZunZuneo, a covert internet site, also designed to stir political unrest. Meanwhile, an American imprisoned in Cuba says life is not worth living, and has said goodbye to his family. Alan Gross, who was arrested in 2009 in another covert internet operation, is said to be in poor health.
