72-Hour Cease-fire Takes Effect In Gaza

    Mideast Israel Palestinians

There’s a 72-hour cease-fire that has taken effect in Gaza.

FOX News Radio’s Kimberly Adams is monitoring developments from Cairo:

Israel has pulled all its ground troops out of Gaza after destroying 32 border tunnels, but it’s skeptical militants will honor the truce.

(Regev) “Hamas has violated cease-fires that it supposedly committed to.”

That’s Israeli government spokesmen Mark Regev, talking about several other cease-fires that have fallen apart over the past few weeks — with both sides usually blaming eachother for breaking the terms.

Negotiations here in Cairo will attempt to broker a longer term deal.

This round of fighting has killed nearly 2,000 people, mostly Palestinian civilians.
