Border Disorder: TX Gov. Perry Sending National Guard Troops To Border [VIDEO]
The Republican Texas Governor, critical that President Obama has not visited the border amid the crisis of tens of thousands of kids recently coming to America illegally, is sending National Guard troops there.
FOX News Radio’s Jeff Monosso reports:
Governor Rick Perry is sending 1,000 National Guard troops to the border after growing tired of what Republicans call lip service from the federal government.
(Governor Perry) “I will not stand idly by while our citizens are under assault.”
Texas has also been overwhelmed by a surge of illegals, including unaccompanied children entering the U.S., putting their strain on resources. But Texas Democratic State Rep. Terry Canales calls the Governor’s move:
(Canales) “The media circus so they get recognition for being tough on the border.”
The cost to send troops to the border: $12 million per month. A bill the state expects the feds to pick up.
