L’Wren Scott, Designer and Mick Jagger’s Girlfriend, Found Dead

L’Wren Scott, the fashion designer who was Mick Jagger’s girlfriend, has been found dead in New York.

FOX News Radio’s Tonya J. Powers reports from New York:

L’Wren Scott was found dead in Manhattan and law enforcement officials say a possible suicide is to blame. The AP reports Scott’s assistant found her hanging from a doorknob around ten o’clock Monday morning. No note was found, and there was no sign of foul play. 

Scott, who was born in Utah, founded her own fashion label in 2006, dressing stars like Nicole Kidman, Oprah Winfrey and Sarah Jessica Parker. In an interview with the ‘Financial Times’ last year, she explained how her designs were inspired by art.

(Scott) “There are a few iconic paintings that I interpreted in embroideries, and jacquards…”

She and Jagger started dating in 2001. Jagger’s spokesperson says he is “completely shocked and devastated”.
