FOX on Tech: Meet ‘The Octocopter’ [VIDEO]

Amazon is developing a delivery drone.

How’s this for quick and easy? Amazon.com is working up a system in which they can take your order and deliver it in 30 minutes or less, using a drone. It’s a new type of unmanned aircraft called an ‘Octocopter’ which can carry packages weighing up to five pounds– and that includes about 85% of what Amazon sells. And it’s not that far into the future– maybe four or five years as Amazon works on the required technology and federal aviation rules and regulations are created.
