At Least 12 Killed In Shooting At Washington Navy Yard [VIDEO]
At least 12 people have been confirmed dead in a shooting at Washington Navy Yard, according to the DC Police Chief. There were additional injuries as well. One gunman, identified as 34-year-old Aaron Alexis, is also dead. An active search is underway for an additional possible suspect.
FOX News Radio’s Jared Halpern has more details from Washington:
As police continue to keep this southeast DC neighborhood on lockdown, low flying helicopters make passes, just a part of the effort to find everyone who may be connected to this mass shooting at the Navy Sea Systems Command. Police were looking for two men described as middle aged, one wearing a tan Navy-style uniform and beret, the other wearing an olive green uniform. Officials now say that man who was wearing the tan uniform has been found and ruled out as a suspect or a person of interest.
One shooter is dead. Among the injured: a DC police officer who engaged with a gunman. A witness telling me she heard the gun shots coming from the fourth floor, and immediately ran.
