White House Announces New Gun Restrictions
President Obama uses his executive powers again to put new gun restrictions into place.
FOX News Radio’s Mike Majchrowitz reports from the White House:
The White House tighten gun restrictions in two places. One prevents felons and domestic abusers from avoiding background checks by purchasing machine guns or short barrel shot guns through trusts or corporations.
(Biden) “Will end this means by which to get these weapons, these most dangerous weapons to people, who are not, under the law, allowed to own them.”
Vice President Biden says they will also prevent reimportation of surplus U.S. military weapons.
The National Rifle Association’s Andrew Arulanandam calls the new rules misplaced.
(Arulanandam) “Not a single one of their proposals will reduce the crime rate in this country.”
Arulanandam says the administration should instead better enforce current gun laws.
