TX House Passes Abortion Bill… Again
An abortion restriction bill that’s drawn weeks of protests has now cleared the Texas House… again.
FOX News Radio’s Rich Johnson reports:
(House Legislation) “Have all members voted? Being 96 ayes and 49 nays, House Bill 2 is finally passed.”
And with that vote, the Texas State House approved a bill mandating new abortion restrictions. It now goes to the Senate, where it died last month thanks to an eleven hour filibuster.
Supporters of the measure expect that it will pass the Republican-majority Texas State Senate this time. Opponents say similar bills in other states have been struck down by the courts.
That final Senate vote expected as early as Friday.
