An old murder case gets new attention, 40 years after the crime was committed.
FOX News Radio's Dave Anthony reports:
(Ford) "Joanne Chesimard is the 46th terrorist added to the FBI's Most Wanted Terrorist list."
And it's a dubious honor:
(Ford) "She's the first female placed on the list."
FBI Special Agent Aaron Ford says Chesimard was in the Black Liberation Army when she murdered a New Jersey State Trooper May 2, 1973. Six years later she escaped from prison and fled to Cuba.
(Ford) "She continues to maintain and promote her terrorist ideology."
So they're doubling down, trying to capture Chesimard:
(Chiesa) "We are raising the reward from $1 million to $2 million."
New Jersey Attorney General John Chiesa adding to what the FBI had already offered.
