Black Market Breakfast: Tons of Nutella Stolen
There’s a new addition to the breakfast black market, but who on Earth needs 11,000 pounds of a spread? And what are they doing with it?
FOX News Radio’s Kirstin McNary explains:
Germans may want to be on the lookout for black market Nutella. Five metric tons of the chocolate-hazelnut gooey goodness was stolen from a parked tractor-trailer northeast of Frankfurt, over the weekend. And it’s got a street value of almost $21,000.
The central German transport hub is apparently a hotbed of processed food-related crime: Five tons of coffee were stolen in March and someone made off with 34,000 cans of energy drinks in August.
