Housecall for Health: Sleep & Weight Loss

Sleep

Losing weight is not just about diet and exercise, according to new research the amount of sleep you get is a key factor too.

FOX’s Colleen Cappon reports in today’s “Housecall for Health”:

Scientists say if you’re trying to lose weight, getting enough sleep is just as crucial as diet and exercise.

A study from the University of Colorado found participants who slept just five hours nightly gained two pounds over five nights. When they returned to sleeping nine hours, they ate less and lost weight.

Researchers say a lack of sleep is becoming one of the biggest factors causing the obesity epidemic.
