Securing America: U.S. Energy Security

A new report shows how the United States stacks up against other countries in the field of energy security.

FOX Business Network’s Rich Edson reports in our ongoing series on national security:

Securing America.

The United States is no more energy secure than it was during the Iran hostage crisis, that’s what a new report from the Chamber of Commerce says. It ranks countries based on the energy they use compared to their access to resources. Mexico tops the list, followed by the British and Norway. The United States is seventh, well ahead of China and Russia. The report says the United States is modestly headed in the right direction. The primary reason for optimism: natural gas and better energy efficiency.
