Homeless Man Saves Baby at OK Truck Stop

He’s hardly a doctor, but a man in Oklahoma is getting credit for saving a baby’s life.

FOX News Radio’s Dave Anthony has the story:

She went into labor in her car last Thursday, pulled into an Oklahoma City truck stop and gave birth.

(Jennifer Morris) “The lady was screaming, ‘My baby!  My baby’s blue!  She’s not breathing!'”

The umbilical cord was wrapped around the neck…and who comes to the rescue?

(Tim Ward) “This guy’s holding a sign saying ‘Memphis.'”

A homeless man, Gary Wilson, who got help from 911.

(911 Call) Operator: “Do not cut it.”
    (911 Call) Wilson: “Yes, ma’am.”

And he untangled the cord, and paramedics say:

(Sandra Lesperance) “He did everything perfectly right.”

And little Tatum is fine.  Keaton Mason is her mother:

(Mason) “He was our angel that night, that’s for sure.”

And people at the truck stop agree.

(Waneva Morris) “I would describe him as kinda like looking at Jesus – he had the long hair, the long beard.”

Then he went on his way.
