Romney Defends Remarks [VIDEO]
Republican Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney is offering a new explanation for his remarks about people who don’t pay income taxes; comments at a fundraiser that were secretly recorded.
FOX News Radio’s Steve Taylor reports from Washington:
The Obama campaign says in the video Mitt Romney claims almost half of America’s voters don’t pay taxes and believe they’re entitled to handouts. Did he say that?
Romney: “No, I’m talking about a perspective of individuals who I’m not likely to get to support me.”
Romney says the economy under president Obama is driving people into poverty and that’s why some don’t have to pay taxes.
Romney: “And the right course to help them is not just to have Government handing out, but instead Government helping people to get back to good jobs.”
Romney appeared on FOX’s “Your World with Neil Cavuto”.
