Convertible High Chair Recall

A popular children’s convertible high chair distributed by Evenflo Inc., is being recalled. The CPSC has announced the voluntary recall – in cooperation with Evenflo – because a tray on the high chair can detach, allowing a child to fall.

FOX News Radio’s Steve Taylor reports from Washington:

The recall covers an Evenflo high chair that converts to a toddler-size table and chair.  The Consumer Products Safety Commission says an activity tray on the chair can detach, allowing a seated child to fall.

Evenflo says it has reports of 18 trays that detached and eight kids who got bumps and bruises.  The chairs were sold in Toys ‘R Us and Wal-Mart stores and websites beginning last December.  Customers should stop using them and visit the website evenflo.com for a replacement tray.
