CDC: Autism Rate Reaches New Heights

More kids across America have autism than ever before, according to a new government report.

FOX News Radio’s Eben Brown has details:

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says one in 88 kids in the U.S. have been identified as having an autism spectrum disorder. And it’s five times more prevalant in boys than in girls.

The report is based on data from a survey done in 2008. The largest increases, however, were among Hispanic and Black populations. And Utah is the state with the greatest number of austic children: one in 47.
