FOX on Tech: Consumer Electronics Show

FOX on Tech:

Electronics vendors will be gathering in Las Vegas this week, debuting the latest and greatest gadgets – and taking advantage of sales opportunities – at the annual Consumer Electronics Show.

FOX News Radio’s Chris Hoenig reports:

It’s the largest trade show in the Americas.

(Barry) “Last year, we had over 140,000 people here.  This year, we may have even more.”

…Consumer Electronics Association’s Jim Barry.  Some sessions are already underway, and Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer delivers the keynote address before the official convention kickoff on Tuesday.

Exhibitors, like Bill Kuntz’s Night-Ize, aren’t necessarily looking to sell to you or I, but rather to some much bigger buyers.

(Kuntz) “You will have buyers from Ace Hardware stores, Fry’s Electronics, sporting goods stores…anybody that is a national retailer.”

The Consumer Electronics Show runs through Friday.
