Perry Presses On With Presidential Bid
Despite taking a few days off, GOP Presidential hopeful Rick Perry has his sights set on South Carolina as he decides to continue on with his campaign.
FOX News Radio’s Eben Brown reports:
Even though Michele Bachmann is out and Rick Perry is postponing scheduled visits, South Carolina’s State Republican Party Chair Chad Connelly says Perry’s doing well in the Palmetto State.
Connelly: “I’d say he’s been here at least 6 to 8 times since he’s got in the race in early August. He did a kick off event here, in South Carolina, of course. And he’s been really well received. So I’m not surprised that he’s sticking the race out.”
He expects more candidates to spend more time and more money in South Carolina very soon. And notes that no Republican has won the nomination without winning South Carolina’s Primary.
