Gitmo Mail To Be Opened Before Reaching Detainees
A dispute over the handling of mail sent to detainees at Guantanamo Bay.
FOX’s Jennifer Griffin has more from the Pentagon:
The top U.S. Commander at Guantanamo Bay has ordered that the mail of detainees including that of the five alleged planners of 9/11 be opened before being shared with the detainees. A Spokesman for Guantanamo Bay said that this is simply codifying internal procedures for dealing with mail at the detention facility. But the lawyers for the defendants say it is interfering with attorney client privilege.
