Cranky Croc Steals Park’s Lawnmower, Worker Steals It Back [VIDEO]

It was an odd fight for a lawnmower Down Under, as man battled beast for the piece of landscaping equipment.

FOX News Radio’s Chris Hoenig explains:

(“Shake, rattle and roll”)

Elvis the Crocodile was just lounging in his lagoon until workers at the Australian Reptile Park came in.  Next thing you know, he’s lunging at them and they’re ducking behind the mower for cover.

“Let it go, let it go…”

They escape, but Elvis prevents any further trimming, keeping his new-found toy in his pond.  Park Operations Manager Tim Faulkner gets to dive in to recover the mower and some of Elvis’ teeth.

(Faulkner) “The teeth have actually come out when he’s bitten the mower.”

Elvis was lured away with kangaroo meat while Faulkner reclaimed his gear.

Looks like it’s engines that really get Elvis’ motor running: the 1,100-pound beast was first captured after attacking fishing boats.
