Lowe’s Pulls Ads From Muslim-American TV Show, Boycott Threatened

At the peak of the holiday shopping season, one retail giant has pulled its ads from a controversial reality show, sparking even more controversy.

FOX News Radio’s Sabrina Sabbagh has the story:

It’s the busiest shopping month of the year, and Lowe’s Home Improvement is pulling all of its ads from a reality show about American Muslims.

(“All-American Muslim” Clip) “Our community is complicated, and even within our own families we don’t always agree.”

TLC’s “All-American Muslim” doesn’t have any fans in an evangelical Christian group known as the Florida Family Association.  It’s calling the program “propaganda that riskily hides the Islamic agenda’s clear and present danger to American liberties and traditional values,” and after threats of a boycott by the group, Lowe’s pulled the ads.  But the retailer can’t win, because now Muslim rights groups are also calling for a boycott and demanding an apology.
