Search Continues for Missing Autistic Boy in VA

Police and volunteers continue to search in Virginia for an autistic boy missing for days.

FOX News Radio’s Dave Anthony has the story:

The 9 year-old hasn’t been seen since he went for a walk in a park Sunday.

“We are operating under the assumption and with the understanding that Robert Wood Junior is alive.”

Hanover County Virginia Sheriff’s Captain Mike Trice:

“We have placed in the woods glow sticks that identify food, water and blankets.”

But the boy hasn’t used any of it.  Wood is autistic and doesn’t speak much and would likely seek shelter under or behind something.  Hundreds of volunteers have helped search a 22-square mile area, some of it heavily wooded.

“We’ve got children of our own and if something happened to one of ours like that we’d like people to help out.”
