FOX on Tech: Blackberry Black-Out

A days long network failure for Blackberry customers hits the US. What’s behind the e-mail blackout?

FOX News Radio’s Jared Halpern has the answers:

Research in Motion, the Canadian company behind Blackberry, points to a core system failure in Europe for starting the cascading service outages.

“As a result, a large backlog of messages has been generated.”

Chief Technology Officer David Yach says that backlog of emails and messages led to Blackberry problems around the world, reaching North and South American customers Wednesday morning.  Yach says there are no signs hackers are behind the failure, but could not offer a timeline for when service will be fully restored.
