Cleveland Forced to Rework Safety for RNC

A federal judge in Ohio grants the American Civil Liberties Union’s request for an injunction forcing the city of Cleveland to rework protest zones for RNC.

FOX’s Jeff Monosso reports:

The ACLU of Ohio challenged the restrictions put in place by the city of Cleveland for next month’s Republican National Convention arguing the city’s security plan would restrict the free speech rights of those attending the event.

Among the concerns was the parade route which would have steered protesters away from the Quicken Loans Arena. City leaders have said their mission was balancing free speech rights with safety, but with the judges ruling just weeks out from the RNC, city leaders have to rework their safety and protest zones.
