Stressing Over the Big Day? Get Crafty & Save Money
Wedding season is upon us and at times things can seem overwhelming, but with a little help and thought, things don’t always have to be as difficult as they may seem. There are a couple things when planning your wedding that you may want to focus on.
FOX’s Ashley Papa has a special Wedding edition of “FOX on Love”:
The average cost of a wedding is over $30,000, but that doesn’t mean you have to spend that much.
John Tabis, CEO of Bouqs Flowers, says with some small changes, like d-i-y-ing, you can save big on your wedding day:
(Tabis) “Invitations, party favors, take homes, all those types of things are things that if you’re somewhat crafty or you have someone in your family who is somewhat crafty, can be executed well beforehand and then distributed on the day of the event or implemented on the day of the event.”
Tabis also advises reusing flowers and decor from ceremony to cocktail hour to reception. But when it comes to guests, don’t skimp on food as that’s one thing your guests will remember:
(Tabis) “And then they remember the food, and they remember the booze, and if they had a good time. I would always say if you’re going to focus somewhere, focus on ensuring people are well fed, and that they can have a good time and will have some decent drink options.”
Don’t forget that at the end of the wedding day, it’s all about celebrating the couples love.
