Award Winning Director Michael Grandage Discusses New Film ‘Genius’

Tony and Olivier Award winner Michael Grandage’s directorial film debut Genius tells the story of the tumultuous relationship between writer Thomas Wolfe and editor Max Perkins.  The film stars Jude Law as Wolfe, Oscar winner Colin Firth as Perkins.  Fellow Oscar winner Nicole Kidman and Oscar nominee and three time Tony Award winner Laura Linney play the women in their lives. The film also features Guy Pearce as F. Scott Fitzgerald and Dominic West as Ernest Hemingway.  Grandage talks with Fox’s Jane Metzler about directing this A-list cast, collaborating with award winning screenwriter John Logan (Gladiator, Any Given Sunday, The Aviator) on Genius and the Tony-winning play “Red”.  Grandage also discusses his next film project, a remake of Guys and Dolls (for Fox) and what it’s like when Queen Elizabeth makes you a Commander of the British Empire.
