UCLA Shooting was likely a Murder-Suicide – LAPD

A shooting at the University of California Los Angeles sends thousands of students and staff running or hiding during a campus-wide lockdown.

FOX’s Jessica Rosenthal has details from Los Angeles:

Police say it appears the shooting on UCLA’s campus was a murder suicide:

(Beck) “It was a small office in the engineering building.”

LAPD Chief Charlie Beck says a note may have been left at the scene where the two men were found dead.

The LA Times is reporting that based on appearances, the victim may have been a professor and the person who shot him before turning the gun on himself may have been a student.

While students were on lockdown they were told to make sure no one could enter their rooms so they got creative bolting doors with belts:

(Student) “It was one of my belts there were a few others cause we were trying to understand how to stay safe.”

Classes were canceled for the rest of the day.
